Dean Charles
(Age 58)

Passed away July 23, 2010, at his home. Dean was born July 30, 1951 in Spokane, WA to Calvin and Jeanne (Redenbo) Grant. He attended school at the Coeur d'Alene and Spokane
Valley Seventh Day Adventist schools. He joined the Army Sept. 26, 1969 serving most of his time in Germany. On Oct. 1, 1972 he married Cynthia Ann Hanson, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. To that union one child was born,Victor J. Grant. Dean worked at several businesses in Spokane, WA and Post Falls, ID over the years, everything from Heavy Machinery Maintance toFoundry work. He spent the last 24 years working for Safeway Distribution Center as a Truck Driver until his forced retirement December 31, 2009.
He was a member of the NRA for many years, making yearlycontributions to the Youth Firearm Education program. His hobbies andinterests were hunting, fishing, reloading, jet skiing and ice road trucking.
Surviving him, his wife Cindi at the home; two sons, Victor Grant,Spokane Valley, WA and Bill Hanson, Spokane, WA; Two brothers, Ken(Shirley) Grant, Coeur d'Alene, ID, Mark (Sally) Grant, Rathdrum, ID; Onesister, Terrie (Charles) Prouty, St. Maries, ID; Two Uncles, Dick Grant, Coeur d'Alene, ID, Jack (Delores) Redenbo, Valley Ford, WA; One Aunt, Mary (Grant) Marsh, Spokane Valley, WA; Father-in-Law, Gene Hanson, Bellingham, WA; Three Brothers-in-law, Chuck Hanson, Lynwood, WA, Karl (Becky) Hanson,Spokane, WA and Bill (Dawn) Cowmeadow, CA; Three sisters-in-law, Cindy Hanson, Spokane, WA, Karen (Jim) Pantleon, Bellingham, WA and Pam (Tim) Halderman, Everson, WA; Two biological granddaughters and 19 adopted grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Calvin and Jeanne (Redenbo) Grant, Two Mothers-in-Law, Gladys D. (Hanshaw) Hanson and Patricia(Cowles) Hanson; One Brother-in-law, Jim Hanson, Several Aunts andUncles.
Services will be held at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 1pm.
