Born August 13, 1930. Donald Blincow, resident of Rancho Cucamonga, California and Diamond Lake Washington, died in his home on Friday, January 22, 2010, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Gering, Nebraska, Donald migrated to Spokane along with his parents, Wayne and Anna Bobbie, his two sisters Maxine Clearwaters and Beverly Varcoe and younger brothers Dan and William. Don attended North Central High School where he met his wife Marilyn Sebring. The couple moved to Florida and California while Don served in the Marine Corps. They returned to Spokane for Don to attend Gonzaga University and while going to school, the family lived in the Glover Mansion as caretakers. The family relocated to Seattle, Washington where he did his graduate work in Physics at University of Washington and worked at Boeing. Don eventually moved his family to Claremont California, and began working at General Nucleonics where he spent 35 years as a Nuclear Physicist. Don is survived by his wife of 59 years Marilyn, his four children Brenda (Richard) Yahne, Denise (Mike) Deerwester, Diane Blincow and his son, John Blincow, his grandchildren Ryan (Kim), Kevin and Rachael Yahne, Henry (Krystal) Graves, and his great-granddaughter, Julia Yahne (Daughter of Ryan and Kim) Don will be remembered by this adoring family for his admirable character, amazing intellect and razor sharp sense of humor. A memorial will be held at the Glover Mansion, 321 W. 8th, Spokane, on Sunday, March 14th from 4p-7p.
