- Michael Alex Bosch ("Mike") passed away March 8, 2010, in Spokane, his home for most of his life. Mike was born on August 29, 1928 in Linton, North Dakota, the son of Joseph and Barbara (Wingerter)
- Bosch. Mike served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947. Mike also served in the United States Marine Corp Reserves from 1948 to 1951, with active service from 1950 to 1951. In 1952 he married Leona Feser and in 1953 their son Stephen was born. From 1963 to1983, Mike served as a Spokane County Deputy Sheriff. Following his retirement from the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, Mike worked as an investigator for the Spokane County Public Defender Office. He also worked as a first aid and CPR instructor for the American Red Cross. Mike was a founding member of the Spokane County Retired Deputies & Employees Association and served as the President of the Spokane County Federal Credit Union. Mike loved to fish, and he loved both classical music and the music of the 30s and 40s. He traveled extensively in the United States. Mike was loved and respected by his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife, Leona Bosch, Spokane, WA.; his son Stephen and his wife Betsy of Seattle, WA.; two grandchildren, Katherine Bosch and Michael H. Bosch; two sisters, Alvina and Sally, Spokane, WA.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Irene (Bosch) Koski, of Palmer, Alaska. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10. A private funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 11 at the Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel.
