HARDING, Albert Martin
(Age 70)

Marcy passed away November 6th, 2009 after a battle with Alzheimer's. Marcy was born April 13, 1931 in Minot, ND to Alice Katherine (Fransen Leverson and Maynard Alfred Leverson. She graduated from Minot Model High School and had a career in banking. She met Albert Harding while he was stationed in Minot with the U.S.A.F. and they were married on February 17, 1968. They lived in several states before settling in Spokane, WA in 1983. Marcy's passion was music and she was an accomplished pianist and organist, playing for several churches throughout Spokane. She also had a career as a realtor in the 1990's. In recent years, Marcy and Al enjoyed traveling in their RV and visiting family and friends throughout the U.S. Marcy was a vibrant and independent woman and Albert was the love of her life. Marcy is survived by her daughter Alicia (Harding) Greene of Spokane, WA her son Jeff Bartlett of Graham, WA her son Chris Bartlett of Sequim, WA, her sister JoAnne (Leverson) Gibb of Alameda, CA, and her brother David Leverson of Minot, ND, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marcy was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Myron Leverson of Whitefish, MT.

Albert passed away November 6th, 2009. Albert was born November 18, 1938 in Portland, ME to James J. Harding and Rebecca Robins (Miller) Harding. Albert joined the military in 1956 at age 17 and served two tours in Okinawa, taking care of jet fighters as a maintenance technician. He left the military in 1962 but then rejoined in 1963, and was stationed in Minot, ND, where he met his wife Marcy. In 1967 Albert was hired by IBM, as a customer engineer. Albert and Marcy were married February 17, 1968 in Minot, ND. Albert's career took them to California, Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago before finally settling in Spokane, WA in 1983. Albert retired in 1993 after 25 years of service. Albert enjoyed traveling in the RV with Marcy and discussing politics. Albert enjoyed taking care of Marcy, even during her final months, as she was his entire life and meant everything to him. Both of them will be greatly missed. Albert is survived by his daughter Alicia (Harding) Greene of Spokane, WA, his son Jimmy Harding of Haiku, HI, his son Jeff Bartlett of Graham, WA his son Chris Bartlett of Sequim, WA, his sister Holly (Harding) Hoing of Pierre, SD and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Marcy.

A memorial will be held on December 12th, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA 99206. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Spokane or the Alzheimer's Association of Spokane.
