SHULMAN,
Richard G.

Rick passed away peacefully at home on November 10 after fighting lung cancer for eight months with courage and great calm. We know he is at Home dancing with angels. Rick, born on January 3, 1944, was raised in Chicago IL. Rick and Yvonne married in 1971 and moved to Spokane (God's Country) in 1973. Rick worked in the data processing field, at CMC (Computer Medical/Mgmt Corp), Spokane County, Gifford Hill, and Deaconess Hospital. In the mid '80s, Rick and
partners founded Bits, Bytes & Nibbles; he managed the store for 15 years. He then became a residential realtor, working for the last 16 years with John L. Scott Real Estate. Rick was involved in many organizations over the years and always contributed with his heart and time. In recent years, he was on the Board of the Spokane Association of Realtors, going to New Orleans on a Habitat for Humanity SAR team. Active in his parish, he did outreach work helping those in need, and in his community, he was president of the Comstock Neighborhood Council. Rick was a man of humor, a gentleman of integrity and honor, and loved all things techie. He lived his faith through action. He treated everyone he met with dignity. He was a rock to many and certainly to his family. Rick is survived by Yvonne, his wife of 38 years, six children: Brad, Rachel & Isamu Jordan, Jenny & Tommy Servine, Gabe & Tracy Shulman, Luke, and Greg, along with grandchildren - Caleb & Osiah Jordan and Mckenna & Kylie Marie (born on Nov 12th) Servine. Other surviving relatives include his sister, Joyce Shulman (Assisi Italy), Aunt Doris Gold (San Diego), two nieces, and various cousins. Vigil services will be held Monday, November 23 at 7 p.m. at St. Augustine's. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 24th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 428 W 19th Ave., with lunch to follow at the Parish Center. Please, in lieu of flowers, make contributions to help the poor to Catholic Charities Foundation, PO Box 2253, Spokane WA 99210-2253 or to Hospice, who supported us wonderfully. During this journey, we have been so blessed by the love, prayers, and support of so many people. Thank you! Please visit Rick's online tribute and sign the guestbook at www.hennesseyfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to:
