Passed away in Spokane, WA on November 17, 2009, at the age of 89. Preceded in death by her husband Bert, September 30, 1984. She is survived by her daughter, Roberta (Bobbie) Parent, husband Greg, two grandchildren, Mike Parent of Coeur d'Alene, ID, and Kim Ross, husband Jeff and great-grandchildren Taffney and Zeke Ross of Colbert, WA; a niece, Sue Burdyshaw, husband Greg of Tacoma; and nephew Bill Leckie, wife Brenda of Spokane;also cousin, Leola Parsley of Coeur d'Alene, ID.

Ruth was an avid golfer and bowler in her younger years making many longtme friends. She worked as a desk clerk at North Bowl for 26 years, retiring in 1980. She was a former member of the Wandermere Golf Turtles, the Valley Eagles Lodge and Inland Empire Teamsters Retiree Association. She spent her last 16 years living at Arbor Grove Mobile Home Park. She wasEditor of the Park newsletter for eight of those years. Her quick wit andhumor brought joy and laughter to many. Her family will remember the many fun times shared with "Grammie".
