Passed peacefully in her sleep on November 4, 2009. She was born August 16, 1919 in Dunn County, North Dakota. She has been a resident of Spokane since 1938. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Phoenix Club, the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #3433, the Valley

V.F.W. and the Valley Senior Center. Her hobbies included dancing, traveling, playing cards, entertaining family and friends, vacations, cooking, baking, and sewing. Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Fred Nicholas, three brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter. She is survived by two daughters Mary Parks (John), Annette Glende (Duane), son Ron Nicholas, sister Margaret Berger of Dickinson, ND, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 5:00 to 6:00 pm followed by the vigil service at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 10 at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 11 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 304 S. Adams, Spokane Valley, followed by a reception for friends and family in the parish hall.
