PEDRO, Joan Audrey (Lambertis)

Died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Hospice House, Spokane, WA after a lengthy illness. Born in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands on December 31, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Ella Eugenie Jackman and Alton Victor Lambertis. She was former Lynn, MA resident. Joan was an active member of The Church of Berachah which is located in Spokane, WA. Joan loved serving, helping people and saying her favorite expression, "Have a Blessed Day." She loved cooking meals for the Men's Group of Berachah Church and The Truth Ministry's food pantry. Joan is survived by her former husband, Robert Pedro of Lynn, MA. Her sons, Michael Pedro of Columbia, South Carolina, Steven and his wife Estelle of Arlington, MA. Her daughters, Michele Washington and husband Gary of Sumter, SC, Dana Pedro of Peabody, MA, and Stephanie Foster and her husband Shawn of Lompoc, CA. Her sisters, Marietta Mendes and her husband Ronnie of Attleboro, MA, Joyce Rhymer of Houston, TX and several nieces and nephews and six grandchildren and two great grand children. She was the sister of the late Jean Lambertis, mother of the late David Pedro, and grandmother of the late Michael Shane Pedro. In her passing, Joan would like to thank all her caregivers, Hospice of Spokane, and The Hospice House of Spokane. The family will have a private service.
