Mary Elizabeth Falkenreck passed away October 31, 2009 in Spokane. She was born November 3, 1923 in Spokane, the daughter of James and Bessie (Bradley) Duffy. Mary was devoted wife, mother, grandmother and community volunteer. She had a 17 year career at Fort Wright College from 1966-1983, starting in the registrars office and then assuming the role of Dean of Admissions. She was preceded in death by her hus

band Dr. John Falkenreck; her brothers Frank and Paul; and her sisters Lee and Lou. She is survived by her children Ellen Smith, Robert Falkenreck and Janie (Tim) Heffernan; her sister, Sister Ellen Joan Duffy; her grandchildren Matthew (Kelly) Smith, Ann Marie Smith, Megan (Saud) Heffernan, J.T. Heffernan; and her great-granddaughter Isabella Anne Smith. Vigil services will be Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 7pm and will be conducted at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 428 W. 19th, Spokane, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 11am and will be celebrated at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Inurnment will be Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 1pm at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall St., Spokane. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Spokane, P.O. Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210.
