- Born in Spokane WA, to Emmett and Lela Wickham, our beloved father passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family; He courageously battled 15 plus years of cancer.
- Jim attended Spokane
- public schools and graduated class 1957 from North Central High. While attending high school he was employed by the surplus store on Sprague Ave. After Jim graduated he enlisted in the Navy Reserves, proudly serving 20 years. He was employed by Western Union which took him to Great Falls Mt, Helena Mt, and then to Auburn WA; where he retired after 27 years. He was then employed by King County Metro as a transit operator for six years, then retired, and came home to Spokane WA in 1999.
- Dad fully enjoyed spending time with family; he also liked camping, bowling, traveling, while his passion was to read.
- Jim is survived by daughters Marilyn Rockett (Bill) from Black Eagle Mt, Patty Olson (Bob) from Great Falls Mt, Shannon Childress (Jon) from Ripley WY. His sons Dwight Wickham (Kathleen) of Spokane WA, Keith Wickham (Shelly) from Walla Walla WA, and Kelly Wickham (Sallyann) of Port Orchard WA.
- Also survived by numerous grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his two nieces Glennda Park (Curtis), and Sue Scott (Bob) from Post Falls ID.
- Preceded in death by infant brother Emmett Jr, his mother Lela Valora Wickham, his father Emmett Charles Wickham, his sister Beverly Bahr, his former wife and life time friend, Carole Kimble.
- Visitation will be held on Tuesday the 9th, 2010 from Noon to 8:00 p.m. at HAZEN & JAEGER VALLEY 1306 N. PINES, SPOKANE VALLEY, WA. 99206. Funeral services will be held in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home Wednesday the 10th, at 1:00 p.m. Condolences can be made online and donations made to the Hospice of Spokane 121 South Arthur Street, Spokane, WA, 99202.

- Passed away on February 5, 2010 in Spokane Washington. She was born July 11, 1934 in Thomas, Oklahoma, to Ralph and Katherine Cole. At the age of five, the family moved to Spokane. Patricia
- graduated from Rogers High School and on April 24, 1953 married her long time neighbor and sweetheart Jerry Ewing. As a devoted mother, Patricia was involved in PTA, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Patricia loved to bring joy to those she loved. She brought celebration to all birthdays and holidays. Patricia was active in the Episcopal Church, as a member of Church of the Holy Spirit and was involved in the Bishops Guild and Episcopal Church Women's associations. Patricia was a conversationalist, expert seamstress, event planner, cook, gardener, consummate shopper and enjoyed reading and her crafts. Patricia was preceded in death by her father Ralph, mother Katherine, brother Kenneth, sister Sue, and loving husband Jerry. She is survived by her son Bruce Ewing, daughter Ellen (Frank) Johnson, son Scott (Teresa) Ewing and beloved grandchildren Jason and Ashley, sister Kathy (Ted) Vollmer, niece Susan (Mike) Combs, niece Jill (Mark) Bernazzani, sister-in-law Orabelle Stolz, nieces and nephews Jim and Patty Ewing, Valerie Okert, Pat Fergus, Rich and Mary Miller, Victor and Brenda Smythe, Carl and Jan Stolz and Gary and Karen Stolz, numerous other nieces and nephews, neighbor Mary and beloved pet dogs Joy and Muffy. Patricia and the family express their gratitude to Drs. Lamoreaux and Njuguna of CancerCare Northwest for their attentive and compassionate care; radiology technicians Evan and Danielle for their loving encouragement during treatment; and appreciative thanks to Dr. Bunn and the many compassionate caring nurses, staff and doctors at Deaconess Medical Center and Avalon Care Center. A memorial service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 East 12th Avenue, Spokane, WA 99202.

- Our Husband and Dad was a native Californian, born in Los Angeles.
- When he was 19 he joined the Navy (1944) and was commissioned an ensign. Honorably discharged, he
- continued to serve in theNavy Reserves where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander,eventually retiring from the service in 1965. During this same time, he studied engineering and began work for the Bell Telephone System as a telecommunications engineer. He continued there for 36 years, retiring in 1984.
- Along the way he married his "honeyheart" and lifelong companion, Georga Ann and together they raised three children. He was very active in his church, was an avid photographer and enjoyed fishing for trout in the Sierra Nevada mountains. In 1997 he moved on to 15 acres of undeveloped land in Elk, Washington and built a beautiful home where he could feed the birds, garden, and enjoy deer, turkeys, and an occasional moose. He became a member of the Country Church of the Open Bible and made many friends there.
- George was an outgoing man who liked people and who liked to shareamusing stories. He was a very kind and good father and a loving, faithful husband. He always tried to honor God with his personal choices andlifestyle. God blessed and prospered him during his life and his family and various charities benefited from his generous, sharing heart. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Georga Burton; his daughters and their spouses, Ronnie and Aart Van Kempen of Dapto, Australia; Bonnie and Bernie Smernoff of Elk; his son and daughter-in-law Lynn and Susie Burton, also of Elk, and his grandchildren; Jackie and Kelly Jo of Australia, Arika of Deer Park, Joshua andJessica of Elk. He also has eleven great-grandchildren both in this area and in Australia.
- There will be a celebration of George's life on Saturday, February 13 atCountry Church of the Open Bible in Elk, Washington at 11:30 AM.
